I remember Kenny Brightbill won, from the photos it looks like
he passed Freddy Adam for the lead and Gerald Chamberlain
was third. It was a dayime surface and I remembered not being
all that impressed
The next Saturday night I came back for an evening show.
Then I got to see why Reading had the reputation it did.
They ran modifieds only on the best clay surface around,
drawing huge crowds every Friday and Sunday.
The track closed in 1979, site of yet another shopping mall.
